SYNOPSIS

Hakata Bay is a historical-fiction battle epic about the Mongol invasions of Japan in the late 1200s, told from the Japanese perspective. The protagonists are a band of Japanese and Korean misfits, rebels, and iconoclasts who struggle to convince the ossified and arrogant Japanese leadership of the need to unite the country. Ultimately they succeed, and as a result of their heroism Japan turns back the hitherto unstoppable Mongol Hordes.
